GIVE ME VITAMIN CCCC. :(
what a dreadful night. awake from roughly 2-6am, getting up at half 5 for some cereal and then going back to bed and finally sleeping for two hours. fun.
anyhoo, jezza kyle, i do love you. always a source of entertainment on ill days/holiday, both of which are appropriate this week funnily enough.
anyway, there was this 68 year old lady with a
twenty-six year old 'lover' who was dying from severe alcohol addiction. and this guy actually proposed to her on the stage, on national tv...
tbh, it was sad. it seemed to me they had a mother/son relationship going on; i just couldn't see anything sexual between them. they were decent people though - i do hope that bloke recovers, for her sake anyway.
this seems to spark the topic of age gaps in relationships, which i remain slightly undecided on. i do not, for one second, condemn relationships in which there is a large age gap between the two people. i'm a strong believer that not only age but looks, personality, social status etc are irrelevant when standing in the face of love. there's just a small part of me that thinks that the lady on the show, being old enough to be his grandmother, is slightly weird. but ultimately, it should always most importantly be about the bond and the conncection between two people...and often is the case that the strongest relationships are between two people of very different ages and backgrounds.
